Understanding the User
USER RESEARCH : SUMMARY
I conducted interviews and created empathy maps to understand the users I’m designing for and their needs. A user group identified through research span from tweens to the elderly, however the actual journey was usually undertaken by adults.

Usability Studies
Early Wireframes
Taking the time to draft iterations of each screen of the app on paper ensured that the elements that made it to digital wireframes would be well-suited to address user pain points. For the ability to share posts to instagram and facebook, I placed large icons that opens prompts to share posts.

Mockups
Early designs showed seating positions and availability but did not show accommodations for wheelchairs users. After the usability studies, I had that included in response to the feedback.

Takeaways
impact
The app makes users feel like they are being heard and their concerns have been taken into consideration.
what I learned
While designing the Movie Reservation app, I learned that the first ideas for the app are only the beginning of the process. Usability studies and peer feedback influenced each iteration of the app’s designs.
